Job Description We have an immediate vacancy for a talented Web Designer to join our rapidly growing Marketing team, with a salary of J18,000 - J24,000 pa dependant on experience. You will be responsible for Web Design as a member of the design team; this will include the design of websites, portals and social media. |
| Duties & Responsibilities: | Your main duties will include the production of wireframes and design visuals for all web-based projects, whilst liaising with the Development team to ensure the successful implementation of projects to specified deadlines. You will be responsible for organising site architecture whilst ensuring that the web content is structured with internal site linking considerations, making sure that the flow of information is quick and easy to find. You will be required to maintain existing web sites using our content management system (CMS). Part of this role will also involve you producing and integrating designs for a range of social media platforms including Twitter and our blogs. You will be expected to research and present the latest design and web trends which will ensure that the Websites you develop remain in- tune with end- user expectations. |
| Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required: | Essential Skills: * 5 or more GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade A*- C to include Maths and English. * Experience of designing corporate Web sites (with supporting portfolio). * Knowledge of the latest Web usability and accessibility guidelines. * The ability to discuss technical considerations with the Development team that will assist in the effective implementation of design. * Experience of using Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator for producing design visuals. * Experience in using MS Office for both project content and presentation of project work. * You must be a great team player with excellent communication and documentation skills. Desirable Skills: * Educated to degree level in design/ marketing/ business related discipline. * Experience of usability and design performance testing of websites prior to live launch. * Knowledge of development considerations, to ensure your design can be successfully implemented as a website. * Experience in using content management systems. |
